Travelling Potter is a mobile "Paint your own Pottery" studio. We come to your home or venue with everything you need to create a unique piece of pottery. Personalise a mug, plate or other piece for a friend, create beautiful gifts or explore your creativity and use and enjoy your own piece.

"But I can't draw!" I protested, sure that any mug or plate I put my hands on would end up looking like the potato painting of a two year-old, but Ruth O'Sullivan aka the Travelling Potter assured me that everything would be okay.
So we set to work, chose a theme (Christmas - my favourite time of the year) and started to design a suitably wintery setting, including a Christmas tree, snow-laden hills, gift-wrapped presents and fluffy bunnies for a bit of cuteness - tracing paper came in very handy here!
As the design was penciled onto the plate I started to relax and found that I was enjoying myself. A lot. When I started painting I became so excited about the emerging picture that all worries about my lack of drawing skills were forgotten.
The Travelling Potter was always there, ready to assist and guide me. She advised me on everything from what size brushes to paint with to colouring and shading. I couldn't have had a better mentor.
I would encourage everybody, of any age, to have a go at painting their own design onto a plate or mug with the Travelling Potter. I had so much fun and I can't wait to do it again. Best of all I have a piece of pottery that I will treasure for many Christmases to come."
